A common but stupid mistake

What you are about to hear me say, you might be like “Dah Liam, why would I not?”.

But hear me out.

It is very common for people to get caught up and think that people need to know your name more than your work.

I will give you an example.

I saw an ad from a pretty big real estate company, and I have one near me, and the ad said this.

“Steve came to show us his new car”

Does that make you want to sell or buy a house from them?

NO, OF COURSE NOT!

So what has Steve’s car got to do with the business?

It seems like they are just posting ads for the sake of it and wasting money.

Why is that ad so bad?

1)You have no idea what they do

2) Let’s say in some hypothetical world, you see this ad 2-3 months pass, and you decide that you will sell your house, let me go to the people who posted that ad.

But now you have forgotten their name because it wasn’t anywhere except the name of the person who posted.

3)There is no offer

I can keep going on and break down everything wrong with it, but I wouldn’t, at least not today.

Remember to make it about what you do, not your brand’s name.
